David Moss Surgeon

David Moss is one of New Zealand’s pre-eminent general surgeons. Originally from Northland, David attended Auckland Medical School before training in general surgery. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2002. Subsequently he worked as a Fellow at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary before commencing specialist practice as a consultant at Middlemore Hospital in 2004. He commenced private practice in 2005 and is now one of New Zealand’s most experienced general surgeons.
General surgery by definition involves treatment of a wide variety of conditions. David has a special interest in abdominal wall hernia surgery, particularly laparoscopic and robotic assisted hernia surgery, where he has international expertise in education and training. He also is an expert in endocrine surgery (adrenal, thyroid, and parathyroid).
